Meet Dave Meine, Founder of DJ Dave's
Music has always been Dave's thing: high school band, choir, his own garage band. He loved the energy of a full dance floor long before he ever stood behind a DJ booth.
How It Started
Dave's DJ career began at 24 in Oakland, California, where he was performing in a large stage production. The show needed a DJ for its weekend youth dances. A DJ friend loaned him equipment, and Dave was hooked. In his words, "I fell in love with entertaining crowds."
He went on to DJ wedding receptions, birthday parties, and military banquets for a California company. By the end of that summer, he'd decided to start his own. In 1992, DJ Dave's opened in Pocatello, Idaho. After graduating from Idaho State University, Dave moved to Boise in 1995 and grew the company into the team it is today.
What We Believe
Ultimately, it's people who make the difference. Our DJs entertain, motivate, and energize your guests, and they know how to interact in just the right way to make everyone feel comfortable. We strike a balance between elegance and fun, without the cheese.

- Locally owned and operated in Boise since 1995
- A team of experienced DJ/MCs and five complete sound systems
- Hundreds of events each year across Southwest Idaho and Eastern Oregon
- Weddings make up most of our calendar, and Dave still DJs them personally
