Wedding DJ & MC Services in Boise, Idaho

This is your wedding, and the music should feel like it.

DJ Dave's puts your vision first: the songs you love, the moments that matter to your families, and a reception that moves smoothly from the first toast to the last dance. We've been part of Idaho weddings since 1992, and weddings are still the heart of what we do.

Planning

How We Plan Your Wedding Music

  1. 1.

    Get to know you.

We start with a phone or in-person consultation with your DJ to learn your style, your must-plays, your do-not-plays, and the feel you want for each part of the day.

  2. 2.

    Build the timeline.

We map your ceremony and reception run-of-show: entrances, toasts, first dance, parent dances, cake cutting, and send-off. Then we coordinate it with your planner, photographer, videographer, and caterer.

  3. 3.

    Curate the playlist.

Use our online planning portal to build your playlists, browse our music library, and collect guest song requests. If a song isn't in our library, we'll get it.

  4. 4.

    Enjoy your day.

Your DJ arrives at least an hour early, sets up quietly, dresses for the occasion, and handles every announcement, so no one has to come find you with a question.

Ceremony

Wedding Ceremony Music & Sound

Your ceremony is the moment guests most need to hear clearly. We provide:

  • Music for prelude, processional, bridal entrance, and recessional
  • Wireless microphones for your officiant, and for vows and readings [CONFIRM: lapel mic for officiant?]
  • A separate ceremony setup when your ceremony and reception are in different spaces [CONFIRM: available, and any added fee?]
  • Cue-perfect timing coordinated with your officiant and planner
Reception

Reception DJ & MC Hosting

A great MC keeps the night moving without taking it over. We guide your guests through every moment:

Grand entrance and introductions
Toasts and speeches, with microphones ready and timed
First dance, father-daughter, and mother-son dances
Cake cutting, bouquet and garter toss, anniversary dance, or whatever traditions you choose
Last dance and send-off

We strike a balance between elegance and fun. We read the room, keep the dance floor full, and never push games or gimmicks you didn't ask for.

Lighting

Wedding Uplighting & Dance-Floor Lighting

Lighting changes how your venue feels and how your photos look. Add décor uplighting to warm up a barn, a ballroom, or a tent, and dance-floor lighting when the party starts. [CONFIRM: uplight colors/count, monogram projection, cold sparks, or fog. List only what's offered.]

Questions

Wedding DJ FAQ

How far in advance should we book our wedding DJ?
Most couples book 9–12 months out. Saturdays from May through October go first. If your date is sooner, check availability anyway. With multiple DJs, we often have openings other companies don't.
Can we choose our own music?
Yes. You have full control. Build must-play and do-not-play lists in our planning portal, and we'll fill in the rest by reading your crowd.
Do you provide music and microphones for the ceremony?
Yes. We provide ceremony music and wireless microphones for your officiant. [CONFIRM: is ceremony included in the package or an add-on?]
Will you work with our planner and photographer?
Always. We coordinate the timeline with your planner, photographer, videographer, and caterer so key moments happen on cue.
Do you travel outside Boise?
Yes. We regularly travel throughout Southwest Idaho and Eastern Oregon, including McCall, Sun Valley, and Baker City. [CONFIRM: travel fee policy, e.g. "Travel beyond 60 miles of Boise may include a travel fee."]
Do you offer a bilingual DJ?
Yes. We offer Spanish and English hosting for bilingual weddings.
When do you arrive to set up?
At least one hour before your event, so setup and sound check are done before guests arrive.
